PERLON (NYLON-6) CELLO STRINGS Warm sound similar to gut strings, but more durable and less costly. Set of 4 (C,G,D,A,) Perlon-core CELLO strings. Perlon (a trade name for Nylon-6) is a soft yet strong synthetic fiber which gives the string the rich and mellow sound of gut, but with much better durability and less sensitivity to changes in humidity. All four strings have a 'ball' end. Perlon strings take about 24 hours to "settle in" after installation. Do not over-tighten to try to compensate; you may cause them to break.
